11 Reasons Why Showering Is The Best Part Of The Day (Minus the GIFs)
It’s a great excuse to play with bubbles. It can invigorate you. It’s the perfect opportunity to sing your heart out. Or unwind with the warm, steamy water. You can wear a mask. Crank the water up and grab some body wash to combat a hot, muggy day. You can reflect on your deepest thoughts. The feeling of a warm bathrobe is absolutely glorious. And a blast of cold water at the end can be totally refreshing.

DC homecoming for 3/4 of NYC-based Jimmy Fedora!
this weekend my wonderful sketch team went away to the country together and let me tell you, we had a fantastic time.
this is totally, yes! being the the sexy beasts that we are.
To know Pat Regan is to adore Pat Regan. But to know and adore Pat is also to have seen him freak out about matters of little to no real dire life consequence. And to laugh at him while he does it.
On Saturday night, Pat’s improv team sure sure sure did Teenage Cop’s show. Pat brought 8 audience members because he is an awesome guy. Unfortunately, four of them were crazy drunk. They were very friendly and super into the show but they talked through every set, especially when Pat was on stage. After his set, I made him go sit nearby to reign them in.
It’s rough when an audience is disruptive during a show. Buuuut Pat’s level of anxiety and embarrassment at their behavior was almost more unusual.
So I took pictures.
Nicole, thank you so much for this. There are few things more entertaining than watching Pat Regan watch an improv show. In a zero stress environment Pat is an extremely entertaining audience member. At a typical improv show, Pat mumbles along to the scene under his breath. BUT NOW Nicole has blessed us with these amazing action shots of Audience-Pat when he feels the pressure on. So funny.
It’s Wednesday, which means you should watch this Japanese Commercial Reel I directed for George Kareman.
George wrote the nuts out of this and Tom Levin shot the shit out of this and all the actors actored the heck out of it.
Wow, this was so impressive
If you make a big choice, and then you get thrown because your scene partner was making a different assumption about the who/what/where, it’s helpful to keep acting in the same TONE of your initial choice, but switch up the specifics.
LIke you walk out and decide to be a nervous weatherman…
The music and lyrics analogy works very well for me. I also like Verse - Chorus structure for describing scene work (Exploration - Game Moves) and also for understanding second and third beats- i.e. the 2nd verse will often have additional instrumentation (heightened) as well as different lyrics (same game, new place to play it).
